About Burnjet

I'm Sunny — I build and maintain Burnjet by myself.

It started as a handful of scripts I kept rewriting for different projects: a compound interest calculator, a JSON formatter that actually handled UTF-8 correctly, a resume builder because every free one online wanted an email address before it would let me download a PDF. At some point I had enough of these lying around that putting them on one site made more sense than not.

There's no team here, no funding round, no roadmap voted on by anyone but me. I add a tool when I need one badly enough to build it properly instead of settling for whatever's on page one of Google.

What's actually here #

• 155 tools and counting — calculators for finance and tax, formatters and decoders for developers, a resume builder, an invoice generator, and a stack of SEO utilities I use on this site itself.
• A resume builder that saves your draft in your browser's own storage, not a server I run. Export a clean PDF whenever you want — no watermark.
• A handful of brain-training games and some interactive AI/LLM visualizers, because not everything here needs to be a spreadsheet.
• Technical write-ups on the blog, mostly things I had to work out the hard way while building this and figured were worth writing down properly.

How the privacy part actually works #

Every calculator and converter runs in your browser using JavaScript, and the heavier document tools — PDF generation, resume export — use WebAssembly. Your inputs never leave your device: there's no API call carrying your salary, your resume, or your JSON payload anywhere. I can't see what you typed, because it was never sent to me in the first place. That's not a policy I've promised to follow — it's just how the tools are built.

It also happens to make the site faster than most alternatives. No round trip to a server means no waiting on one.
