Data Storage Converter (Bytes, KB, MB, GB, TB)

MB (megabyte) uses the decimal standard of 1,000 KB, while MiB (mebibyte) uses the binary standard of 1,024 KiB. This tool supports both, since operating systems and manufacturers sometimes use different conventions.

Manufacturers label drives using decimal units (1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes), while your operating system often displays capacity in binary units (TiB), which makes the same drive appear smaller.

It converts between bits, bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, terabytes, and their binary equivalents (KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB).

Enter the value in MB and select GB as the output unit — 1,000 MB equals 1 GB under the decimal standard, or 1,024 MiB equals 1 GiB under the binary standard.
